Make your content space open to all

The other day I was thinking and writing about success. It’s important to continue believing in yourself and your future.

But as a writer, we are the ones most in control of whether or not we succeed with our content.

What can we do?

I got to pondering about how some places are very focused on their physical space. Experts are paid big money to create an environment that is open and welcoming, where there is good energy, where people can enjoy themselves and feel good about the space.

Writers need to do the same thing. Success often derives from return visits and regular engagement from fans and followers, and they often go back to where they feel comfortable and appreciated.

There are things that writers and content contributors can do to help themselves be more successful.

First, make sure you appreciate your followers and accomplishments acknowledge their comments or interactions with your content.

Second, writers should be welcoming in their actual content, in the words and topics which they discuss. Consider controversial topics carefully and be aware of different perspectives.

Third, make your content or website a fun place to visit. Readers have a finite amount of free time so make sure you create a destination worth visiting.

Without readers and viewers, most content creators would move on to something else. So this season, take time to remember and appreciate all of your fans, followers and readers.
