The San Francisco 49ers seemed to have a great chance to win in the first half, but a sloppy wet field and a solid Chicago Bears team showed them otherwise.
The Bears won their home opener 19–10, and they take on the Packers in a road game next Sunday.
The Niners look to regroup next Sunday at home against division foe Seattle Seahawks.
What does San Francisco need to do to win going forward? First, limit turnovers. Next, score more points. Lastly, improve on defense.
This was the first game of the long season for most NFL teams. If they want to make the playoffs, coaches and players need to make adjustments in a hurry to win now.
