The race to be the 2020 Democratic nominee for President is in full swing. There are television and radio ads going non-stop, and your mailbox is likely to receive a lot of mailings regarded the upcoming primary election.

The biggest election vote this year is in November when voters will select a new President of the United States of America. There are other issues and candidates on the ballots, of course, big the biggest contest is for the presidency.

But before we get to the November 2020 general election, we need to choose the final nominees for president for the two major parties. We know that President Donald Trump will be the nominee for the Republicans. But we don’t know yet who will have enough delegates to be the nominee for the Democrats.

If you’ve been watching or reading about the results of the early primary elections and caucuses, you may have noticed that Bernie Sanders has been doing well. It’s very important to do well at this early stage because you need all of the momentum and news coverage you can get.

How can the other Democratic candidates catch up to Bernie Sanders? Here are some ideas:

  • Win big in a state this week
  • Win big in some states on March 3
  • If you can’t win big, get second place or third place as often as possible

Bernie Sanders is still one of the top five candidates, but if he keeps winning more delegates, he will keep getting more momentum. If that happens, he will have an insurmountable delegate lead by early March.

People tend to go with the leader or the one with the biggest lead, so the other candidates need to come up with a powerful message real fast if they want to be the Democratic Party presidential nominee. If they don’t, Bernie Sanders will win Super Tuesday and beyond.

If you are a fan of the Democrats and your favorite candidate is not Bernie Sanders, there is still time for your candidate to have a big showing over the next few weeks and months.

Regardless of who eventually becomes the nominee for the Democrats, they are going to need to unite together as fast as possible. It is never easy to win against an incumbent President, especially one with a vocal base and millions of supporters.
