One of the best things in life is friendship. It is free of cost and brings you a lot of happiness, enjoyment and satisfaction.
But friendships take work and commitment. They do not happen automatically and can wilt away over time without the right type of care.
Think of your closest friends. How do they work on a regular basis? I am sure that there is a lot of give and take, that there is a balance so that each person works on maintain the relationship in order to keep it going.
There are many things in life that can slow friendships down or even cause then to dissolve. People get married, they move to another town, or they simply fall out of favor with each other.
If you have someone in your life that you want to keep around, make sure you are investing time and effort into the relationship. Give of yourself, but don’t give too much. Try to understand if the friendship is working for both of you.
