It is almost every day that you read or hear about the stock market hitting a new record. This company is doing great and that industry is making big money.

The bull market has been going non-stop for many years. Unemployment is low and employment is high. Success seems to be around every corner.

But what about later this year and beyond? There have been hints that things could change and it might happen suddenly.

Future Recession

A lot of experts and regular people don’t think a recession is coming up quickly. But that might be because recessions are notoriously hard to predict.

Recessions don’t happen overnight and they often last for years. You have to prepare yourself for them.

Job Losses

What happens during a recession? Well, there will be big job losses. Unemployment will increase quickly.

International Connectivity

Do you read news about other countries and think it doesn’t affect you? You need to start thinking the other way.

When big ecenomies suffer from a virus, you can bet that other countries will eventually be impacted by any shutdowns. It is a giant global economy.

Dark signs are hard to read. I don’t mean dark road signs, which are important to see and read, but I mean dark signs about the future around the world and in your state.

You should not ignore dark signs. Pay attention to them and prepare yourself.

  • Make sure your job is safe from elimination
  • Improve your skills
  • Cut expenses
  • Increase savings
  • Reduce debt

These are just a few of the things you can do in case a recession hits and there are job losses. Start planning now for when the economic boom comes to an end.
