Be aware of the danger of fireworks

This week many people in the United States of America will be celebrating the major holiday of July 4th.

This is a reminder to do so safely. After all, the first part of the word fireworks is the word fire, and fire can be quite dangerous.

Always remember:

  • Don’t use illegal fireworks
  • Don’t do fireworks that are not allowed in your city or county
  • Avoid dry conditions
  • Report fires immediately
  • Have water or a garden hose nearby

Children should not be around fireworks or in the vicinity of firework celebrations. As you know, sometimes combustion and explosions occur in unexpected ways. Keep everybody safe as much as you can.

What’s the best way to celebrate the Fourth of July? In my opinion, just go with friends or family to the celebration events that are put on by your local government.

Sometimes big cities have spectacular parades in the daytime and wonderful fireworks in the evening.
