The debates for the presidential and vice-presidential candidates are coming up fast. These are very important debates because a lot of swing voters are waiting to see how Democratic candidates Joseph Biden and Kamala Harris do when they debate the Republican incumbent candidates Donald Trump and Mike Pence.

When will the 2020 debates occur?

According to Wikipedia, the presidential debates will happen on the dates of September 29, October 15 and October 22. The debate between the two candidates for vice president will be held on October 7. It appears that the start time for all debates will be 6:00 p.m. Pacific Time or 9:00 p.m. Eastern Time.

How can you watch the debates?

The debates are likely to be on multiple things television channels and they might also be broadcast live online through social media or video outlets.

What is at stake?

The future of the free world and capitalism itself, some would argue, is what is at stake in this year’s election in November.

Generally, what is at stake is whether or not President Donald Trump will get another four years as President of the United States of America, and whether Vice President Mike Pence will get another four years as Vice President of the United States of America.

Do the debates really matter?

Yes, they really do. There are millions of voters who are still undecided or who have not voted yet. They could be waiting to see what happens during the debates.

Will one candidate slip up in a big way and forget the name of a foreign leader? Will another candidate stumble and lose focus?

Anything can happen during these important debates. You can bet the candidates are already practicing every week.

In debates, it is often not about whether you have the right answer or not. The audience can read body language and discern who is ready for the highest political offices in the United States of America.

What’s the worst that can happen?

Well, you better buckle up your safety belt, as the saying goes. Think back to when Donald Trump debated Hillary Clinton? Now, that was back when nobody really gave Trump much of a chance to win anything, back when newspapers were predicting landslide wins for the other candidates.

It seems unlikely Donald Trump is going to falter in any of these debates because he has sure his whole life in the media spotlight and he is good at it. Strange things can happen, of course.

What about Biden? A lot of people think he has the most to lose, because if he looks frail or weak, or absent-minded or even wimpy, then the media will focus on on that. He needs to exude strength and assert himself as much as possible. He can’t back down from verbal attacks or insults or he can’t let those things affect him.

What about Kamala Harris and her debate against Mike Pence? Although that only have one scheduled debate, you can be sure that it is more important than ever. Is Kamala Harris ready for this debate? She certainly has a great resume and a lengthy career, and her debating skills are probably very good.

The upcoming debates are likely to have a very big impact on the advertising campaigns. Imagine a very big mistake made by one of the four participants. If anything crazy happens in these debates, then you might end up seeing four more years of the current administration. Alternatively, you could very well see a big popularity surge for Biden and Harris.

Tune in to watch the debates, and make sure you take time to vote this year. Every vote matters.
