Defy The Odds!
Have success more often
This past weekend I saw something unusual.
A panel of sportscasters all agreed on the same outcome for a college football game and they all picked the same team to win.
Guess what happened?
The other team won!
That’s right. Well, it’s hard to explain what happened. The analysts may have been influenced by their peers. They may have underestimated one team in favor of the other. They might not have had the courage to pick an underdog team.
What else?
Well, the winning team showed up and was ready to play highly competitive college football. They were coached well and their defense played exceptionally great football when it mattered.
What about you?
Are you following everybody else, like a line of horses and cows?
Or maybe you’ve decided to defy the odds and prepare yourself to win?
You don’t have to agree with everybody else and just assume that one party is going to do well and maybe the other party is going to lose?
Find your own way to defy the odds and succeed. After all, success requires hard work, preparation, discipline, determination, skill, and maybe a little luck here and there. You are definitely in control of a lot of those factors.
Go out and succeed today. Find opportunities for yourself where you can do well and find success. When the odds are against you, dig down deep and prepare yourself so that you can increase the chances that you will be successful today and many days going forward!
