Become a writer who listens to the fans

Do the headlines you read seem too obnoxious?

Are the keywords trying to get you to click on a story?

Does reading the news seem like an ongoing mission to avoid being trapped by fake content?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, you have joined a growing multitude of readers who are getting tired of being duped into wasting their time.

But what, if anything can be done about it? It’s hard enough to be selective with the limited free time we have to view or consume content. Now we have to worry about artificial intelligence writing stories and baiting us with their tempting titles.

Something needs to change. Well, I agree with that and I am hopeful that the future of news and stories is going to get better as time goes by.

The Medium Whisperer

My advice is for writers on Medium and elsewhere to develop a whispering style in both their stories and headlines.
