I just want Disneyland to be open again.
I know I’m not the only person who wants this.
Okay, I get it. We’re in the middle of a pandemic that is not going away any time soon.
It’s probably not a good idea to have tens of thousands of people close to one another.
I understand all of that.
But I still want Disneyland to be open again.
I’m not saying that I’m close enough to travel there for a day trip, because I’m not.
I’m not saying I could afford to go because, frankly, well, the prices are not the same as they used to be.
I just like the idea of having the option to go to Disneyland and be there with the family. That is not an option right now.

The rides at Disneyland are a big part of the attraction, and I get that. I’ve been thrilled by this rides myself.
But to me the best part of Disneyland is being with the costume characters and having them stop and smile. That is the real magic of Disneyland.
It seems like some other reality now, a life that hardly seems real, where Disneyland is closed with an unknown opening date.
What can be done?
I don’t know if there is a real solution in the near term. It just doesn’t seem doable right now.
But I can dream, right? I can look for clues and signs that things might change.
What is there is a vaccine one day? That would make a big difference in a hurry.
I can wait a while. After all, Disneyland is not going anywhere.
