Don’t Look Back
You’re not going that way
Today I was swimming in a pool and I looked up and saw the following phrase on the wall:
- Don’t look back. You’re not going that way.
And then it hit me at how profound it is, that statement on the wall, written for whomever saw and appreciated the words therein.
What does it mean?
Well, I’m sure it impacts people in completely different ways, depending on age and their situation in life.
You see, for the past few months, I kept thinking about the past, about how maybe I could have taken a different turn or made a change in direction.
But you know what?
- Don’t look back. You’re not going that way.
The past is finished. Done. It’s all gone and stuffed inside people’s minds and memories. Don’t let it affect you any more, if you don’t want it in your life.
- Made some bad decisions? Forget about it.
- Didn’t get that job promotion? No use crying about it.
- Did the perfect man or woman get away from you? That’s life and it’s time to move on.
