Expenses Are Rising
And life is getting more difficult
Recently I was dreaming about going to a sandy beach.
It would be so nice!
I could relax with my family. The waves would crash against the sand. We could play as long as we wanted and leave when the day was done.
Wouldn’t that be wonderful?
And then I decided against it.
Vacations are wonderful. It’s great to take a holiday and get away from your troubles and worries.
Seriously, more time off is needed. We work too much here in the USA.
But vacations cost money, and lately the establishments have been increasing the rates and expenses.
“Five thousand dollars," is what I overheard somebody say the other day. He had called somewhere about a week’s stay at a resort and he was informed that this amount would be the cost.
Now I don’t recall where he was going or what was included with that cost, but that amount is way beyond anything that I am willing to pay.
So now I am just plain worried about going anywhere. After all, you will need a hotel room, gas, maybe airfare, lots of food, and admission to local attractions.
Just forget it!
Now of course there are plenty of ways to save money while having a good time. You can go to a nearby forest, a lake, a free museum, or something else that doesn’t cost any money at all.
Frankly, I still believe that the best things in life are free. You can sit and relax with your favorite person in the world and not have to spend a penny. That sounds like a very good deal to me!
