“He Lost His Job."
I overheard a conversation today and it made me a bit worried about the future
I was standing in line recently and I overheard a conversation.
It happens.
I mean, sometimes you are waiting for so long that your mind starts to wander and pretty soon you can’t do anything else except listen to the people behind you, and there is nothing wrong with that.
“He lost his job," said a woman about somebody else who was familiar to them.
Then I didn’t catch the next few sentences. They were probably important but I couldn’t make out the words.
“What do you do?" said a woman in that group to the man directly behind me.
He started to explain that it pertained to distribution or coordination but I couldn’t place the occupation. Granted, there are plenty of new roles and job titles in the world these days that I don’t know anything about.
“He was so angry about it," continued another person in regards to the man who lost his job.
“He should just get another job."
“Right. Getting angry is not going to help."
“Too angry, actually."
“I don’t think we’ve met. What’s your name?” said one of them to another.
