There may not be a lot of places open these days, but that does not mean that you cannot have interesting times.
What can do you if places are closed? Well, that is a very good question.
A lot of the best parts of life are discovered and experienced in places that don’t cost money. You may not believe that, of course, but it does have a lot of truth in it.
Here are some ideas for fun:
- A walk in the rain
- A stroll in the forest
- Some time at a beach looking for shells
- Playing sports at a park
What about in your part of the country or world? There are probably wonderful places to visit not far from you, destinations that others would like to read about.
Here are some sites in the United States that I have never visited and which I would like to visit:
- Mt. Rushmore
- Smoky Mountains
- Florida everglades
- Myrtle Beach
- Yellowstone National Park
For the places I have been to, I can say I would really like to go back to the ones on this list:
- New Orleans
- Grand Canyon
- Los Angeles
- Napa and Sonoma
- New York City
Now some may wonder why I have Los Angeles on the list. It is, after all just a very large city. Well, I’ve lived there a number of times so I have become accustomed to all of the different places.
In Los Angeles, I really like to visit:
- Griffith Park
- Getty Center
- Santa Monica
If you have your own list of favorite places to visit or popular local destinations in your part of the world, please write about them when you get a chance. I will try and do the same.
You don’t have to spend a lot of money to have a wonderful time or a memorable experience. Sometimes it is the local place that ends up giving you the most wonderful joy when you think about it years later.
