I, Seriously, Want a Hamburger Right Now

I really, really want one but it’s not going to happen.

The problem with wanting something is that there’s a chance it might not happen, maybe a very big chance. I know that.

I bet I didn’t have a power lunch, one that would ensure that I wouldn’t get any food cravings for a while.

It’s the new year, mate. I’ve got my resolutions:

  1. Eat healthier
  2. Drink more water
  3. Exercise
  4. Avoid sweets
  5. Avoid fried foods

These are good goals. I can accomplish them. But that’s all for tomorrow because right now I need a hamburger or cheeseburger.

These are my toppings:

  1. Pickles
  2. Tomatoes
  3. Lettuce
  4. Special sauce
  5. Onions
  6. Meat patty
  7. Bun

That is what I want on my burger. It will definitely fill me up. But, alas, it’s the middle of the week and all I can do is stand here on the train and dream of a freshly-made delicious hamburger sitting in front of me.

Now I never said the meat patty had to be real meat, because I’ve never been a big fan of meat. It can be a vegan patty made of whatever they use these days.

I just want a hamburger. That’s all.
