One of my favorite things in the world is iced tea. It’s not really a thing, of course, because it’s a beverage. But either way, it’s one of the parts of life that I look forward to. It is simple, easy and almost free.

It doesn’t take that much to make iced tea, or even regular hot tea for that matter. You just need water and a tea bag.

I often made tea in big glass containers and let the sun cook it in water for a few hours. Others use hot water to make their tea. Regardless, tea is wonderful, and my preference is iced tea.

I like lemon slices in my tea. I could also go for a slice of lime if we’re all out of lemon.

Another thing I like is rice. I never really liked fancy rice or brown rice or anything other than regular white rice. My favorite things to add are pepper and butter. I swear that I could eat that every day of the year and never get tired of it.

It doesn’t take much to cook rice. You need water, of course, and hot water. After that, well, you just need a bowl and a spoon, or chopsticks if you prefer.

I also like fried potatoes. This is really easy to make. Just chop up regular potatoes into small bits and fry them in a pan with some oil. There isn’t much to it but I love it.

You don’t have to spend much money on potatoes and they seem to last a long time on the shelf. Plus, peeling potatoes is kind of fun, but be careful.

I like toasted bread and butter. Toast and jam is also okay, but my preference is bread from the toaster with butter on top. I could have this every day and never get tired of it.

Bread and butter is very affordable and quite easy to make. Anyone can do it and it is rather quick and fun.

I don’t want or need a lot of fancy foods or exotic meals. I like iced tea, white rice, fried potatoes, and bread with butter. I’m okay with that and some other things.

Honestly, these are some of my favorite things in the world. I grew up with these items in my childhood and I turned out just fine, I think.

writer and novelist. traveler and adventurer. looking for fun in the sun. chasing the dream. can't stop the feeling that time is going faster.
