Traveling for the holidays is a deep reservoir of memories for writers. Often the truth is stranger than fiction when it comes to reality.
“Time for boarding," said the airline personnel to me and the rest of us last week. That was the good part. The not-so-good part was that they lined us up out on the tarmac in the freezing cold, and that was not fun at all but it was certainly memorable.
