Soft and slow if you can

“Kiss Me, Katherine.”

“No."

“Why not?" I asked as I hugged her close.

“We need to talk," she said.

“We can kiss and talk."

“Don’t be silly."

I stole a quick kiss.

“What is your plan?" she asked.

“To kiss you again," I said.

“I mean, about the future. What are your plans?"

“I haven’t thought much about it."

“You need to.”

“I have a job now," I said.

“It won’t last. You know it won’t."

“I know. Things are tough."

“We have to plan now for the future, and do it months in advance."

“I know," I said, though maybe I didn’t.

“What is your plan?" she asked.

“I’m working on a few things."

“We have to be partners and help each other, and communicate more.”

“Yes, that’s right."

She stepped closer and hugged me.

“Do you want your kiss now?" she asked as she moved in nice and slow.

I didn’t need to answer because she knew what was on my mind.
