Less Is More
Maybe there is too much stuff
Lately I’ve started to think that I have too much junk.
Seriously.
And just so you know, I don’t have that much at all. I’m not somebody who buys a lot of stuff. Frankly, I don’t like shopping and I certainly don’t need much of anything.
Do you have things that you don’t need? Goodness, maybe I’m not the only one.
It’s easy to think something has value and so maybe you don’t want to get rid of it. After all, somebody paid money for it at some point in time.
But what do those things do except sit there and do nothing? Recently I found out that one of my relatives had over five thousand dollars in coins throughout his house. Now, come on, that money could have been invested and grown in size over time. But that was his decision.
I think that I’m going to start getting rid of stuff that I don’t need and simplify my life. Some experts believe that you need to de-clutter and clean out your closets to have better mental health.
- Too many books? That doesn’t seem possible, but there are plenty in my house that should be donated.
- Too much stuff in the garage? Definitely. It’s like the boxes procreate or something, so I have something to do this weekend.
I recommend that you do the same. See if there is clutter or junk that you can remove from your residence. Once you do, I think your comfort level will go higher and you will feel a little better.
