Looking for Peace and Joy
Sometimes you find signs in the most interesting and unexpected places
I saw a peace sign on a trash can recently. I don’t think I saw it before at this particular location, but now that I think about it, it was probably there all the time.
We hear a lot about wars and conflicts these days. We hear about political parties fighting about so many things, and some of these will have no middle ground. That’s for sure.
We hear about international problems, such as:
- Immigration issues
- Border patrols
- Currency issues
The list goes on and on. The world is changing fast and it is not getting easier for people to make it in this world. The costs of things makes it hard.
But I want to focus on trying to find some peace and joy on a daily basis, with friends, neighbors and your fellow commuters.
What can be done?
- We can be more patient
- We can be nicer
- We can be kinder
- We can help out friends in time of need
- We can find ways to help
I hope we can try to find more peace and joy in the world. You might be able to find it when you least expect to find it. Let’s give it a try.
I will start it off. I will try to smile more to the people around me. I will try and think of positive things to say and do.
What about you? I hope you can find more joy and happiness in the world. And if you find it, I hope you can spread it around.
It is easy to get sad or down about the happenings in the world. Let us all find some common ground, some joy and happiness that can be shared. Let’s start today.
