One time somebody said that to me and the message resonated in my mind and soul.
What did it mean? It meant exactly what it implied in those three little words. The meaning is that you should do more fun stuff in life.
Writing should be fun! It can be hard work, for sure, but that doesn’t mean that it can’t be fun hard work.
One time I had a job where I worked in a winery in California. Looking back, it didn’t seem like work at all because I had a lot of fun and things were so interesting. Half the time I wished that I had stayed at that winery a lot longer, but I was young then and I couldn’t resist the call of the big cities.
The point was that I had fun and that meant it didn’t seem like work. It felt like an adventure.
Is there a way to make writing fun? Definitely, my friend. Here are some suggestions:
- Play music while you write
- Pick your own topics
- Create stories that come alive
- Write about your passions
- Compose a poem for your lover
- Have a fun time with fiction
