Now I have doubts about its loyalty to me

Last night I went to sleep with anticipation of a good night’s rest.

Then, just a few hours later, my mobile phone seemed to get diabolical. It seemed to want my attention or maybe it was being passive-aggressive.

Out of nowhere, I heard my phone restart itself and the resulting sights and sounds woke me up.

So here I am, wide awake, early in the morning on a Saturday, thinking of how many hours I have to wait until I can start a fresh pot of coffee. And breakfast would be nice because I love fluffy scrambled eggs and buttered toast.

Anyway, I don’t know what my phone was thinking for waking me up like that. Come on, dude, the phone is supposed to be quiet at night and just sit there without doing anything.

I’m a very light sleeper so it doesn’t take much to wake me up. I grew up in a cemetery where my dad was a gravedigger. As you can imagine, it gets pretty quiet when you are surrounded by graves, tombstones and mausoleums.

I didn’t mind living in a house on the property of a very large cemetery in the outskirts of a small town. Well, it didn’t scare me, but the downside is that we rarely had any visitors to our house. And so I got used to things being quiet…
