Consider the future just ahead of us

As we say goodbye

To the year that was

And all events that we shared

May we laugh or cry

To the time that was

And all the ways that we cared

Let us now go try

To the future that is

And hope for the best

Like birds that do fly

To the present that is

Go forth and don’t rest
