Protect Yourself Against The Sharp Rose Thorns Of Life
Use the right requirement and be safe
Today I was in the back garden and I found a task for myself. It was about to rain, but I know I had to tackle this assignment before it got out of hand.
The rose bush had grown way too tall. It posed a real danger as it could fall over or be pushed by the wind into the neighbor’s yard.
I grabbed the step stool and hand shears and started cutting the long rose bush branches, and some were very tall.
“Are your hands bleeding?" somebody asked me from inside the house after I had been working a while.
I looked down and, sure enough, I had some big thorn cuts on my fingers and hands.
Then the rain started. I should have gotten some gloves at this time or way before, but I wanted to get this cutting done before the heavy rain started.
Eventually I finished the task and went inside, out of the rain. I washed the blood off my fingers and arms.
What should I have done differently? I should have taken the time to find and wear the garden gloves. I should have made a plan. I should have been open-minded to a better process and stopped midway through everything in order to do it better.
