It seems that uncertainty grows bigger and wider each day that passes by. What once we believed in, now seems like wishful thinking.
It is almost as if they universe has informed us that are futures are no longer what we thought they were going to be. How can that be so? How is it that change and doubt about our lives has fallen upon us so fast?
The worldwide pandemic, I believe, has opened all of us to the reality of the fragility of our futures. What once was a given, now seems like common hopes and dreams.
What will school and college be like for our children in the future? It seems like all that we once knew of it is no more, even though most likely some of that life will return.
What is the future of work? It seems like the advantages are quickly and suddenly shifting to those who are adept and skillful at working via computer, who can be available at all hours, who can master this lifestyle.
I say that our futures are not locked into this new paradigm. But I believe that all of us most adapt and do it quickly and efficiently, or we risk being left behind.
We can build wonderful futures for ourselves and our children, but we have to commit to all of the changes that are coming our way. We have to be flexible and strong and we need to support each other, more now than ever before.
