Stay Alert And Vigilant

Protect yourself and your family
I’ve been getting worried.
Yes, it’s the news media. They tend to highlight and report on the bad things that happen irregularly. I get it. That’s the job of the media.
It’s probably the case that there are plenty of good things happening that we never hear about. The bad events, like robbery and theft, get a lot of headlines.
But I’m still worried. That’s fine because I’m going to prepare myself.
- Bank fraud. I’m going to be very careful with the back cards and watch my monthly statements for unauthorized charges. Plus, I’m going to stop using my debit card because that info can be stolen too easily.
- Door locks. I’m definitely going to check and re-check the locks on my home and on the outside gate.
- Vehicle security. I’ve seen on the news of too many criminal people open the unlocked passenger doors of cars, grab purses and bags, and then run off quickly. Locking car doors is super important.
- Public Transit. While riding the train, I’m not going to listen to music any more. It’s best to stay focused on fellow passengers or on people looking to cause trouble.
