The Importance of Being a Little Early at Work or the Office
Being just on time is not good enough these days

Do you get to the office right when your shift is supposed to start? If so, maybe you should reconsider that.
Getting to work exactly when you’re supposed to be there may not be the best strategy. It’s not the best idea.
Here are some reasons why you should regularly try to get to your job at least a few minutes before your regularly scheduled start time:
- You have extra time in case if delays or traffic jams
- You don’t have to feel rushed
- You can show your commitment
- You can show that you like to be in time
- You can be ready
- You can socialize a bit without feeling hurried
There will be days that you will be late and that’s okay. But if you’re a little early on a regular basis, people will know.
Now I am not suggesting that you start work early or get extra minutes of pay. I am just suggesting that, if you can, try to get on your way to work a little early so delays will have be an impact.
These are my own suggestions and maybe it works for me personally. But I have heard about lateness becoming an issue and then, well, who needs more issues like that.
