Do you every wonder about life and the people who are important to you? If so, those are your connections. They are very important to your identity and to your happiness or lack thereof.

Connections can be positive or negative, of course, and they can also be neutral like when you have casual acquaintances. It is important to build up lots of connections but maybe not so many that it becomes too much of a good thing.

How can connections help you in life? There are many ways.

  • Your social skills can help you find a spouse or life partner.
  • Your connections can become lifelong friends.
  • You can build a social network that helps each other with daycare or play dates with children.
  • Your professional network and connections can help you get a job and obtain promotions throughout your career.

Try to build positive connections and relationships that are helpful to both parties. Make sure you build quality relationships and good connections, and keep the focus less on quantity.

Life is short so we need to do all we can to enrich ourselves but at the same time enrich the connections in our lives. You never know how a little positivity can go a long way in someone else’s life.
