Time For Joy And Love

It’s the most wonderful time of year, and it’s a great opportunity to be thankful for your blessings and the wonderful people in your life.
Beyond my family and friends, I am thankful for my fellow writers on Medium. They inspire me on a regular basis. They create interesting content that you can’t get anywhere else, and they are happy to support their fellow writers on the platform.
It’s time for love and joy. These are the big holiday months and, regardless of what else is happening in the world, I think that we should pause and give thanks to the people that we care about.
Who do you love? You don’t have to answer out loud, of course. Just think about the person for a while and wonder how life would be without them. It’s hard to comprehend. Yes, life would go on, of course, but it wouldn’t be the same. The strong emotions can hit you and hurt you.
Take time this week to seek out those important people in your life. Tell them how much you care about them. Spend some quality time with them and find time to have a good talk.
Life is short. Next year you will be a year older. Don’t take anything for granted.
I am thankful for my fellow Medium writers. Yes, I have a few favorite content creators and maybe they know who they are. But it’s also true that I’m open to having new favorites in the months and years ahead.
