Top Things President-Elect Joe Biden and Vice-President-Elect Kamala Harris Need to Focus on Right Away
There is a lot of work to be done in the new year of 2021
Americans have noted. Now, at long lost, we have the results of the 2020 election. We know the future leaders of our country.
Now comes the hard part and that is all the work that needs to be done by the new Joe Biden presidency and the Kamala Harris vice-presidency. It is not going to be easy because both of them are going to be judged by their actions and how they do or not not take care of the economy and help people find work, save their businesses, and get a good education for their children. Plus, all of that is made more difficult by the coronavirus pandemic.
What are the top priorities for the Biden-Harris administration? That’s a very tough question and you are likely to get a long, wide range of answers.
- Help people find work and get jobs. There are millions of people unemployed right now. There could be free job training programs that are created for them to help achieve more in the new economy.
- Find a vaccine or remedy for coronavirus. This is the biggest healthcare crisis of the last 50 years or so. Solutions need to be found in a hurry.
- Protect the environment. Yes, there are certain industries that are not environmentally-friendly and they have thousands of jobs that nobody wants to eliminate. So there needs to be a compromise so that employers can be protected from having to do mass layoffs, and industries need to be modified to help not harm the environment.
- Help the middle class. The vast majority of the USA fits inside the middle class and many millions of people need help, need help with healthcare, and can use child care or school assistance. Try to find ways to help the middle class.
These are just a few of my own ideas and suggestions. There are many others, of course, and I’m sure there are quite a few from the other party’s perspective and viewpoint.
Whatever your particular political party in the United States of America, make sure you stay actively involved in your community. Write to your elected representative and let them know your opinion. Stay involved.
There will be a lot of challenges in 2021 but we can come together in a united country. We can do this.
