You can be so close on a train ride

My lover and I were on a train ride. It was dark and we were halfway out of France and headed straight to Italy.

“I biglietti del treno, per favore,” said the train worker.

We sat up and held out our tickets. The sooner we got this done, the sooner we could relax.
