It’s raining here in California.

What’s the big deal? Well, rain doesn’t happen nearly enough in sunny California and that means it’s a big deal when it happens, when droplets of water fall from the sky.

Being your umbrella.

Don’t step in puddles.

And drive super safe.

This rain got me thinking about the progress and process of writing.

What helps?

Words, lots of words, that fall from the sky and make sentences and paragraphs.

That’s the nice thing about having momentum as a writer, because often the words just keep coming and you don’t have to worry about it.

Imagine your words falling onto you like raindrops from the clouds.

Picture that.

Experience the moment.

And then relax and let the sentences get turned into paragraphs and stories.

So yes it’s raining right now but that’s okay. I’m going to send these powerful moments of word raindrops to my fellow Medium writers. May you have a great time today creating your stories.
