Writer, Motivate Yourself!
Find every reason possible to get yourself back to writing and creating brand new content
“What’s your motivation?"
That’s something I heard quite a bit in drama classes throughout high school and college.
Why did it matter?
It was important for actors to know the background of their characters, to give a sense of purpose to them, and to ensure that the performance was genuine.
This same question applies to writers and content creators.
“What’s your motivation?"
It’s okay to be honest with yourself. You don’t have to explain your motivation to anybody else. After all, it’s your life.
MOTIVATIONS MATTER
Being motivated in life helps you wake up in the morning. It gets you excited about the day.
Here are some possible motivations for writers:
- Fame and fortune
- Extra income
- Peer recognition
- Stepping stone
- Writing practice
- Making friends
