If you write for the fun of it, you are probably having a good time. What does that mean? It means like a lot of things in life, that your love for something shows in the end result.
Poetry is so wonderful and sweet. Just check out some of the great work on Medium by those who love to write poetry, and you will see the effort and passion that goes into it. I’m pretty sure that they enjoyed the time they spent on each one.
What about general written work about how to do things or make things? Those articles come from the passion of people’s lives.
The personal stories and tidbits of culture are some of my favorites, because I love the sociological nature of what was written, of how people interact and pass down words of wisdom.
I like the guidance that people offer in their stories and articles, about their personal experiences and daily struggles. We all learn from that and it takes courage to share the times that are personal.
The written word doesn’t have to be long or short, simple or profound, but I’ve learned that when people enjoy the writing process or they’re having a good time doing the writing, then often it shows.
From now on, I want to remind myself to write from the heart, write something I am passionate about, or write something that many orders can enjoy.
