I know, I know, it is said that the odds are stacked against you and the outlook is grim. But I don’t believe it.

You can make it in this world.

Yes, there are plenty of obstacles and challenges along the way. Nobody is going to just hand you a silver platter of success, unless you are super rich.

For the average person, there are many things you have to do to be successful.

Here are some ideas:

  • Work hard
  • Show up every day
  • Be committed to your idea
  • Be great at customer service
  • Work hard to retain fans, clients or followers
  • Provide a good product or service

The world has plenty of competition for all kinds of businesses and services. How can you stand out in this world?

That is a key thing to ask if you are starting a business or developing a service. What can you provide that will help people stick with you instead of running off to a competitor?

A lot of success comes down to simplicity of design. You don’t have to over-complicate things.

My favorite restaurant has a limited menu and I like it like that. I don’t like all kinds of choices that are hidden because there are too many up on the board.

That is a powerful thing, to be able to just have a limited menu and others don’t waste time in line trying to choose or look for something no longer on the menu.

Keep it simple is a great motto and it helps in many businesses. Do something you love to do.

If it is a product or service, be clear about the choices. If people like what you sell or do, they will come back for more.

We can make it in this world if we work hard. Yes, it will not be easy and the road can be long and challenging. Stick to your goal and be happy with the progress you make.
