Experts talk about the potential for different types of people as a ceiling, and this pertains to their maximum success in life relative to others.

Is a success ceiling really predictive?

Well, scientifically there may be ways to estimate or predict somebody’s fortunes in life. Generally speaking, of course.

But I dare say that we should overcome and push our ceilings higher. We should tell ourselves that we really do have a “high ceiling" and then we need to really believe that.

I am sure that sociologists are ready to give data and provide research that can show that there are many challenges in life and few opportunities to those born or raised in certain parts of the country.

Yes, it’s true. It’s hard to find and sustain success if you are born into wealth, let alone if you start off poor or with bad role models. Being wealthy certainly gives you more opportunities and more chances in life, but failures are still a real possibility.

How can we lift our ceilings higher?

  • Have a good stable family life
  • Keep a wonderful life partner
  • Don’t take unnecessary risks
