Is what your body language says to me most days and nights any more

It’s like you don’t want to talk

Or communicate at all

Just walk on by

With no hello

Bystanders, we are

In a home

Built for two

Yes, it feels

Empty and cold

Your body language

Says no

Or it says goodbye

It’s still early

In the morning

And yet

The long night

Isn’t over

And the next day

Seems likely

To be

More distant

Than the ones

Before

We used to talk

And smile

Sometimes

But now, well

One word

Would be nice

Something kind

And sweet

And loving too

Or no words at all

But a look and a smile

Would take

My breath

Away

Like we

Used to be
