Your Stories Are Simply Not Going To Write Themselves

I mean, hopefully they won’t, so maybe you should create something soon

I read a news article today that was very funny, but it was also scary and made me worry about the future of writers.

Somebody had posted something about how Klay Thompson had bricked (missed) a lot of basketball shots and that these thrown bricks had damaged a house. This was all in a joking manner but sure enough an AI bot grabbed those details and wrote a serious article that the basketball player had been causing trouble by throwing bricks.

It’s so crazy, but also it’s a bit terrifying. It got me wondering about how many news articles are written every day by artificial intelligence. And now I’m going to wonder about which of them were created based on false information out there.

As an aside, I do like the Golden State Warriors a lot and I believe that this whole incident should not have happened at all.

I’m not against robots or AI devices in general. In fact, sometimes I think I would like to have the choice, and maybe I might choose them over humans.
