Positive feedback and honest comments can have a big good difference on new writers
I saw a sign today that read, “Kind words are like honey: sweet to the soul and healthy to the body."
The first thing I thought during the moment was how important positive comments and thoughts are as time goes by in life.
Granted, each of us probably receives good feedback every once in a while. Maybe someone says “You look nice" or "That’s a great idea.”
But what about the emotional equivalent of a spoonful of honey? That, my friend, is missing in this world.
Do I want somebody to give me positive comments and compliments? Absolutely! The more, the merrier. Yes indeed.
But did you know that sometimes I get comments, either in person or on my content, that I would describe as the opposite of honey? It’s true because it happens. Some are direct and others are implied.
In person, maybe someone at the coffee shop gives it to me at the counter but their lack of eye contact is saying something that’s not warm and comfortable. Okay, maybe they’re having a tough day or month and I will wish them well.
