Your Very Own Private Fun Writing Renaissance Faire

Have you ever been to a Renaissance Faire?

I certainly have and it’s a grand old time of fun activities, Renaissance jousting, food drinks, crafts, and people living and acting in the past.

You can go to different parts of the Faire to get everything pertaining to the Renaissance and the related history.

Today I got to thinking about how your Medium content is just like a Renaissance Faire.

You have a variety of stories from your past and you get to share them with an audience.

Need some jousting? Well, I bet that you’ve written a story or two about conflict, whether emotional, social, internal or psychological. Hopefully you don’t have a lot of personal stories involving physical combat with another person, but if you do that is something worthy of a story.

Need some romance? Maybe you have a story to tell about lost love, or an unrequited passion, or a longing stare across the room of a big castle on an island somewhere in Europe.

Need some distinct dialogue like they had in the Renaissance days? Well, it’s okay to relay the communication style in your part of the world. I still get people who notice an accent in my voice which is probably due to my formative years in the Carolinas.
